Hike Appalachia Molly and Bailey Johnson want you to create a user-friendly interface for the BlueRidge database. To help them with their request, complete the following steps:
1. Open the BlueRidge database you worked with in the previous module. Delete the action queries. If you want to keep the action queries, first save a copy of the BlueRidge database as BlueRidge_M9, and then delete the action queries.
2. Design, create, and test a form named frmQueries that has the following components and characteristics:
a. An appropriate Caption property for the form.
b. A list box control (with an appropriate label control positioned above it) that contains all of the queries except for the system queries. Recall that system query names begin with the ~ character. The list box should be wide enough to display the longest query name. Set an appropriate Caption property for the list box control.
c. A macro that opens a query in Datasheet view when you double-click the query name in the list box control.
d. A macro that moves the focus to the first query in the list when the form loads.
e. Two command buttons below the list box control that have macros that provide appropriate functionality to display the results of the selected query or display the query in Design view.
f. Appropriate formatting including font, font size, and color for the list box control and appropriate icons and labels for the command buttons.
g. Disabled shortcut menu, close button, and navigation buttons.
3. Create and test a navigation form named frmNavigation, using an appropriate layout that will display the following database objects: frmHikerInfo, frmQueries, rptTourReservations, and rptHikerLabels. Make sure the form's tab displays appropriate text and that the form does not include a picture or a form title.
4. Make a backup copy of the database, compact and repair the database, and then close it.
