ER Modeling Tool DB Diagram

This assignment requires you to create an EERD.
Use the Chen notation and any drawing tool
Use David Hay's positional principles.

Consider that you are on a project team tasked with implementing an ERD drawing tool to be used by ACS-2814 students. These students leam to draw ER models as discussed in your text's Chapter 7. Your role on the team is only to design the database for storing ER models.

The user's of your drawing tool will use

• entity types and weak entity types,
• relationships and identifying relationships,
• mandatory and optional relationships,
• 1-1, 1-many, and many many relationships
• role names
• all types of attributes (key, partial key, normal multivalued, derived, composite) Consider the drawing tool available on the ACS-3902 web page is a prototype showing some of the drawing capability your tool would support.

The data model for your project's tool is drawn according to EER modeling techniques (Chapters 7 and 8). That is, you must consider using subclasses and superclasses.
