Palindrome and PI

The objective of this Assignment is to learn the three fundamental programming structures: (i) sequence structure, (ii) selection structure, and (iii) repetition structure. There are two separate programs to submit.

• A palindrome is a sequence of characters that reads the same backward as forward. For example, each of the following five-digit integers is a palindrome: 12321, 55555, 45554 and 11611. Write an application that reads in a five-digit integer and determines whether its a palindrome. If the number is not five digits long, display an error message and allow the user to enter a new value.
• Calculate the value of from the infinite series Print a table that shows the value of approximated by computing the first 200,000 terms of this series. How many terms do you have to use before you first get a value that begins with 3.14159?

Invoice

The objective of this assignment is to learn Java methods. Write a Java console application for the following problem:

Create a class called Invoice that a hardware store might use to represent an invoice for an item sold at the store. An Invoice should include four pieces of information as instance variables - a part number (type String), a part description (type String), a quantity of the item being purchased (type int) and a price per item (double). Your class should have a constructor that initializes the four instance variables. Provide a set and a get method for each instance variable. In addition, provide a method named getInvoiceAmount that calculates the invoice amount (i.e., multiplies the quantity by the price per item), then returns the amount as a double value. If the quantity is not positive, it should be set to 0. If the price per item is not positive, it should be set to 0.0. Write a test application named InvoiceTest that demonstrates class Invoice's capabilities.
